Well, Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga’s release has been postponed and there’s currently no word of a new release date, but that gives me more time to finish the Lego Star Wars games here.

Before we start, here’s Han wearing his winter coat on fucking TATOOINE (and getting shot while he's at it). Poor guy’s gonna sweat his plastic ass off.

Okay, enough kidding around, let’s get started. As the saying goes, our heroes are out of the frying pan and into the fire.

The opening cutscene shows Jabba’s prisoners being flown out to the Sarlacc pit, but after Luke does some gymnastics on the plank, R2 tosses over his new green lightsaber. Time to turn the tables!

We start out in control of only Luke and Lando in his palace guard disguise. Guess we’ve got to rescue the others, but before we do so, let’s smash all the rails for studs and build some turret guns to shoot the guards who are shooting at us.

There’s a LOT of action going on in this section, so much so that I can’t easily take screenshots. Every time you shoot the guys shooting at you, guess what, they come right back. You’ve gotta build some levers to pull and extend a bridge to another skiff – where Han and Chewie are waiting!

Now of COURSE you’re gonna switch to Han because he’s awesome, right? Okay, okay, you’re still gonna need Luke because he can use the Force to build this . . . tree thing.

On the second skiff, you also have to push a couple of boxes around to certain spots where they’ll explode, then use the debris to build two more turret guns. Once you have all four turret guns built, a minikit will appear on top of the tree thing!

By the way, when Luke was using the Force on the debris, Han was standing on top of it and he got levitated up with the bricks and then fell flat on his face. I couldn’t get a screenshot of it, but it was hilarious. Anyway, grab the minikit, build and pull two more levers, and cross the extended bridge to the third bridge, where you’ll find . . . BOBA FETT!

Yes, the guy who’s not nearly as awesome as he thinks he is (search your feelings, you know it to be true) is standing in your way. Well, you NEED to use Han for this battle since he kicks Boba’s ass in the movie – even if he didn’t know he was doing it. Just shoot him a few times and he’ll crash down into the Sarlacc.

After Boba goes bye-bye, those shooting guards will finally stop respawning, so you can get a breather and get onto the fourth skiff to shoot rails and gather studs.

We still need to get Leia and the droids though, so after collecting all the loot, cross the last skiff to the outside of Jabba’s barge.

We need to pull three levers in order to extend platforms that will allow us to continue. The first one’s obvious, the second one can be found behind the walls you can open with the Force, but the third one’s on the second story. How do we get there? Well, have Luke use the Force to open the left-most wall and jump on it before it closes so he can reach this crate.

Have him push the crate down and it’ll break into a bunch of pieces that you can use to build an ascension gun platform. Then have a blaster user (HAN!) ascend up and run inside to pull the last lever.

Of course, once we get to the other side we’ve got to deal with more guards shooting at us. To get rid of them, build another ascension gun platform and ascend up to the second floor to pull these levers.

Boy, Jabba sure uses a lot of levers, but anyway, we still need to get inside. To do that, we need to use a combination of the Force and the circular lever to make the colors on the right-hand side of the door match those on the left-hand side.

You’d think Jabba would use something a bit more secure, but anyway, we’re in!

And we can hear R2 coming from the next room! After shooting everything in sight (of course) we can build some turret guns to blast open the door and get the droids!

Okay, that leaves Leia, but since she’s currently chained up to Jabba, that might be a tad difficult. Well, using the Force and building skills, we can make an activation panel that 3PO can use to activate an elevator that goes up to the second floor.

It looks like we’re doing stealth mode now. We can hear Gamorrians on the other side of the door, so how do we deal with them? Well, ascend to the top shelf, push a box off, build some radios and use the Force to hang a disco ball from the ceiling, and the floor opens to reveal . . . a platform made of circles? Step on the circles as they light up and WHOA, the disco ball lights up and that sweet rendition of the Imperial march starts jammin’!

And the Gamorrians, being the lovers of music that they are, immediately rush in to jam out with you!

You can kill them while they’re jammin’ or you can just sneak into the next room, where you can shoot the bars over the windows to let in some air and sun and studs. Also, you can use the debris from the bars to build a minikit!

When we exit this room, it triggers the cutscene of Leia strangling Jabba and R2 cutting her chain, so now the gang’s all here and we’re at the top of the sail barge!

By the way, when you’re controlling slave bikini Leia and press J, she does a belly dance. No, I’m not kidding. I can’t get a screenshot, but someone made this hilarious video a while ago.

First thing’s first, STUD COLLECTING. In between waves of guards and Gamorrians, shoot everything in sight to reach that coveted True Jedi status. Don’t forget to build and ascension gun platform to get the studs up in the rafters.

Unfortunately, you’ll see several minikits here that are out of your reach for now. You’ll also get a glimpse of the Power Brick, but again, it’s out of our reach.

Anyway, you’ll run into this GIANT targets and you might wonder what the hell these things are. You’ve got to use the astro droid activation panel on one and push some explosive crates up to the other in order to remove the protective shields, but you might still be wondering what the hell they are.

Well, we’ll get to them shortly, but first Luke needs to use the Force to make a staircase that’s slightly too short for anyone who can’t do a double jump. How do we get everyone to the upper deck? Well, shoot some mechanisms that reveal an elevator you can use to go under the deck to reach a lever.

Once we reach the top deck, here’s where those giant targets come in. Have R2 use the activation panel to fill the turret gun with ammunition, then shoot those targets to make the barge go BOOM!

Our gang escapes (with a cute blink-and-you-miss-it moment of Han catching Leia when she and Luke swing over to the skiff) and it’s the end of the level. Back to the cantina . . . and I think Han likes Leia’s new outfit.

The level unlocked palace guard Lando and slave bikini Leia, and at the bar we can buy a skiff guard . . .

. . . and Boba Fett.

See you for when we get to Endor!
