Let’s rescue the queen. It’s the least we can do after destroying everything in the city.

Hello and Happy Star Wars Month! Time to get this blog back on track. At long last, it’s time for the reason why I started this blog in the first place, Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga!

Is it the best Lego Star Wars game yet? The worst? Somewhere in the middle? Let’s find out!

Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens – the Lego Star Wars game I both have and haven’t beaten. How is that possible? Well, when I first got the game on Steam, it wouldn’t run right on my older computer. The animation lagged to the point of the game being unplayable and no matter what I did, nothing seemed to fix it.

Shortly afterwards, I got the 3DS version of the game and beat it. It was a lot of fun, but I still haven’t touched the Steam version since, even though I did get a new computer in January of 2017. Why? Probably because I had grad school and writing projects and other games to play.

So now, the moment of truth. Is the game playable on my current computer?

Sorry there was no entry yesterday – I was in a bad mood and didn’t feel up to making geeky comments about Lego Star Wars. Anyway, time to bring Episode 1 to a close with an awesome level!

I’ve said it many times before, but I’ll say it again: Lego and Star Wars was a match made in heaven. Lego’s quirky, tongue-in-cheek sense of humor fits with Star Wars so SO well and the beginning of that was in the first Lego Star Wars games. They were originally released as Lego Star Wars: The Video Game, which covered the prequels, and Lego Star Wars 2: The Original Trilogy, which covered, well, the original trilogy, but eventually the two trilogies were put together into one game: The Complete Saga. Sure, it would end up not being the complete saga, but we didn’t know that yet. Since then, there have been plenty of other movie-based Lego games and most of them are also amazing, but the Star Wars Lego games are in a category all their own.

Expect a lot of gushing from me because this game is AWESOME. Unlike the NES and SNES SW games, this one isn’t very difficult, but difficulty doesn’t equal quality and this game is certainly rich with that, as we’ll see. But enough yammering, let’s play the game!

Since these entries will be screenshot-heavy, I decided to put them under cuts.
