It’s time to continue Ventress’s path!

Our next episode is “Ambush,” which was the first episode aired, where Yoda is attempting to forge a treaty with the Toydarian king, but he’s also considering an alliance with the Separatists. After the opening cutscene of Yoda’s shuttle crash landing, we land smack in the middle of a squad of battle droids. Fortunately, Yoda can take quick care of them.

Yoda can also slice up the plant life for money, but not the little purple Lego crabs that wander around. Anyway, the battle droids are coming in from two caves, one of which has a silver bush to the side and one has a gold bush to the side. Normally, gold stuff is only destructible by a lot of firepower, but your clone Jek has a rocket launcher, which quickly reduces the gold bush to rubble, and Yoda can use the Force on the rubble to block the cave.

For the silver bush, have one of your other clones throw a thermal detonator, then have Yoda use the Force on the rubble again.

Blocking both caves will open a new passageway, but before you leave, have Jek use his rocket launcher to dismantle your shuttle and you’ll get a minikit.

As you make your way through the wilderness, Yoda can use the Force on three plants and they’ll blow air much like the fans and make Yoda float so he can access some studs.

HA, I never get tired of watch the Lego Star Wars characters float. Well, you’ll soon run into another golden plant barrier.

This planet sure has some strange wildlife, but we can just use Jek’s rocket launcher to blow up the plants, right? Well, he gets ambushed by battle droids who shoot off his weapon – and his arm. Fortunately, this is the Lego universe, so reattaching his arm is no problem, but then it’s all limp, so he can’t use his rocket launcher, so how do we get through the barrier?

Well, we’ve got badass Yoda with us! He can Force-lift the super battle droids and aim their blasters at the gold barrier to blast it open! Once it’s gone, head through the cave and into the level’s next section.

We’ve got three Separatist hovertanks to take down, each of which requires a different strategy. The first one needs its cannons taken out with a thermal detonator; the second has gold cannons, so Yoda needs to make those super battle droids fly around again, and the third needs its cannons taken out via grappling hook. Once they’re down . . . we’ve got droidekas to worry about.

The first one is simple and can be taken out just like in The Complete Saga, but then we get one with a RED shield and a helpful message saying red droideka shields are immune to weapons.

However, those shields aren’t immune to the FORCE. Yoda can just Force-push the droid into the conveniently-placed hole behind it, but of course more red-shielded droidekas will arrive, and these will stand further away from the hole. And oh yeah, after being pushed for a while, they’ll walk back to their original spots and for some reason the greatest Jedi Master who ever lived can’t push them while they’re walking. You’ve got to plan out the shortest route to push them, but once you’ve gotten rid of six droidekas, the level ends with the king choosing to side with the Republic.

In case you were wondering, my back still hurts like hell, but I’ve got The Skywalker Saga sitting next to me, just aching to be played, so I want to hurry this up.
