Welcome back! Time to take care of Grievous once and for all.
Now that we have Dooku, we can take him around the cantina and he can go all Sith Lord on the other customers. I’m serious, he can zap people with lightning until they fall apart and it’s strangely entertaining to do so. I was going to show you a screenshot, but even though I went running around the cantina several times and switched my characters around, I couldn’t find Dooku, even though I know that I purchased him. So yeah, let’s just start the level.

As soon as the cutscene of Obi-Wan landing on Utapau ends, Obi-Wan and Commander Cody are thrust into a battle with Grievous. Once you hit him once, he goes jumping over to this ledge.

We should get him, but first, let’s jump over to the ledge behind us and get a minikit, along with a powerup.

But alas, since we don’t have an astro droid with us, we can’t reach the ledge Grievous is on, but Cody can shoot the explosives next to him, which will drive him to jump back to us. Don’t ask me why they don’t blow Grievous up with them – this is the Lego universe, after all. Anyway, after Grievous takes a few more hits, he’ll jump up to a ledge WAY UP HIGH. Looks like we’ll have to climb up to get him, but how do we get off the landing platform? Well conveniently, those explosives left some debris lying around.

And Obi-Wan can use the Force to make the debris into a bridge.

Nothing ever goes to waste in the world of Lego, does it? Well, cross the bridge and pick up some studs. Obi-Wan can also use the Force to make some steps, but the minikit is, again, out of our reach without a super jump.

And look, there’s Grievous, taunting us out of our reach.

What you need to do is have Cody stand on a block thing and shoot at the explosive next to Grievous so he’ll be scared back down to our level (I guess he really doesn’t like explosives). This can be easier said than done, since you have to jump up, aim, and shoot at precisely the right moment. Once the thing explodes, Grievous will jump back to the landing platform, but let’s do some exploring before continuing the fight – it’s not like he has a history of running away or anything like that!

Once again, that minikit is out of our reach (Obi-Wan, why didn’t you bring Jar Jar to Utapau?), but as we explore the sinkhole a bit more, we’ll find some more minikits and studs. Also, get this, if you jump down too far, Obi-Wan gets stuck and only Cody can get out via the ascension hook.

But then Obi-Wan reappears when you get back to the landing platform. Is he projecting himself? Did he levitate over there? Or is it just video game magic? Anyway, fight Grievous some more and after a few more hits he’ll jump out of our reach again. Now we’ve got to climb back to that ledge and use the Force to move an explosive out of the little cave to Grievous’s side – and we find out that the explosive was hiding a minikit as well!

You know the drill by now: shoot the explosive to get Grievous back on the landing platform, then finish him off. The ending cutscene shows Obi-Wan using Cody’s blaster to kill Grievous – and blowing smoke off it like a cowboy. HA! I’ll bet he still thinks they’re uncivilized, though.
Well, back in the cantina I did find Dooku, but I couldn’t take a screenshot of him zapping people because you have to hold down the J key in order to shoot lightning and I couldn’t hold down the key and take a screenshot at the same time. So, sorry, but trust me when I say it’s super fun to zap people.
Anyway, the level unlocked Cody and you can also buy Grievous now . . . except that he costs 70,000 studs and I don’t have that on me right now after buying Dooku wiped my bank, so we’ll have to wait. This level was rather short, but the next level will be longer and we’ll be able to explore Kashyyyk.
You know what that means – CHEWIE!!
